Nepal, 50 Rupees, 2015, Specimen Note
50 Rupee Specimen banknote (with number 000000) printed in 2015 by the Nepal Rastra Bank (Central Bank). This is a new design of the 50 rupee banknote which was adopted in 2015. The obverse of the note features the Mount Everest, Janaki Temple and the watermark of a rhododendron flower. The reverse features a snow leopard.
Specimen notes are printed in very limited quantities - with 00 as the number - for other central banks as an aid in the recognition of banknotes of other countries. Such notes are not meant for regular circulation - and have the word 'specimen' clearly marked on both sides. This rarity makes such notes much more valuable than regular banknotes.
These notes are extremely rare - with just a few hundred pieces in print.
Size: 142 mm*70 mm
