1 Rupee, Bikanir, 1892
1 Rupee silver coin of the Indian Princely State of Bikanir, minted 1892, jointly in the name of Maharaja Ganga Singh Bahadur (reverse) and Empress Victoria (obverse). These coins were identical to the British India silver rupee of Empress Victoria - in size, weight, design and silver content (0.917). The only difference was the design on the reverse of the coin - see picture 3 for comparison.
These coins were minted in very limited numbers - under 600,000 , compared to regular 1 rupee coins of Victoria - of which over 1 billion were minted!
