Udaipur - Set of 2 silver rupee coins
2 silver rupees of the Princely State of Mewar (Udaipur) - the successors of Maharana Pratap.
The older (rough) coin is from the Swarupshahi era (1858-1920 AD). The reverse of the coin says 'Dosti London' and has ramparts of the Chittorgarh Fort. The coin weighs 10.74 gram. This is a very rare coin - with a numista rarity index score of 70.
The new (machined) coin was minted in Vikram Samvat 1985 (1928 AD) during the reign of Fatteh Singh.The front of the coin depicts the ramparts of the Chittorgarh fort. The coin weighs 10.86 grams. This is an uncommon coin, with a numista rarity score of 50.
Condition as seen in the picture. The new coin is almost uncirculated with original luster.
