Copper 1 paisa coin of the Princely State of Bahawalpur, minted in 1924-25 during the reign of Sadiq Mohammad Khan V. The reverse carries the Toughra (calligraphic monogram) with crescent & star as well as the date as per the Islamic calendar (1359 AH)

Bahawalpur state was established in 1802 after the fall of the Durrani empire of Afghanistan. The capital was the modern day city of Bahawalpur in Pakistan. The nawab of Bahawalpur was entitled to a 17 gun salute. This was the first princely state to accede to Pakistan and the ruler had provided significant help to the infant Pakistani state at the time.
