Nickel-Brass 60 Centavo Indo-Portuguese coins of 1958-59. In 1958, the Rupia was replaced by the Escudo (currency of Portugal) at the rate of 1 Rupia = 6 Escudos. The Escudo was divided into 100 Centavos. These coins were minted in 1958-59 and were used up to 1961 - when Goa was liberated by the Indian armed forces. 

The obverse of the coin features the coat of arms of Goa - the five shields on Portuguese coat of arms, waves representing the sea/overseas colonies, and tower/fort representing Goa. The reverse has the coat of arms of Portugal.
