10 Rupee Note, PC Bhattacharya, 1962-67
10 Rupee 'fafda' note signed by PC Bhattacharya, the governor of the Reserve Bank of India from 1962-67. These notes were issued up to 1972 - but those with Bhattacharya's signature were issued only up to 1967. The reverse of the note carries a picture of a sail boat - a feature that continued in 10 rupee notes for nearly 40 years.
