  • Rs. 2,700.00

Silver 2.5 kori coins issued by the princely state of Kutch, jointly in the name of Khengarji III, the local ruler, and George VI, the British emperor. These coins were minted in Vikram Samvat 1993 or 1937 AD. This particular combination - with the names of Khengarji III and George VI, was minted only in a single year. Khengarji III was one of the longest reigning monarchs anywhere in the world, with a reign spanning from 1875-1942 AD.

The three symbols of Kutch, the trishul (trident), crescent and katar (dagger) can be seen on the obverse. The inscription on obverse is in Devnagari while the reverse is in Urdu. These coins also carry two dates, in Vikram Samvat and as per the English calendar.

These are high grade, uncirculated coins with all their features intact and luster visible.
