1 Pound, British Armed Forces, Second Series (1948)

1 Pound voucher specifically printed for use by the British armed forces in other countries - these could be used only in military canteens - to prevent British soldiers from trading in the local black markets. These vouchers were not legal tender in the UK, and were for use in occupied territories such as Germany and Austria, post World War II. This particular series was printed in 1948.
