One Ringgit banknote of Malaysia, printed from 1967-72. These were the first banknotes of Malaysia printed after independence (1957). Pre-1967, Malaysia used the Malaya dollar, and was in a monetary union with Singapore. The obverse of the banknote features King Tunaku Abdul Rahman, who served as the first ruler of Malaysia from 1957-60. The obverse of the note features a deer on a shield - the logo of Bank Negara, the Malaysian Central Bank.
