10 Aspars, Republic of Abkhazia, 2024

10 Aspar banknote of the Republic of Abkhazia, a partially recognized state on the Black Sea coast, on the territory of the former Soviet Republic of Georgia. Abkhazia is populated by the Abkhaz ethnicity and had autonomy (within Georgia) during the days of Soviet Union, and declared independence in 1999. Abkhazia has de-facto control of the territory but is recognized by a few states - Russia, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Nauru, and a few other unrecognized/partially recognized states - South Ossetia and Transnistria. The front of the note features a Caucasian leopard and an image of an ornamental bronze axe, the reverse features the other side of the axe.
