Half Rupee, 1946/47, Bombay Mint
Nickel Half rupee coin of British India, minted in 1946 and 1947. Up to 1945, half rupee coins were minted in silver - the use of base metals was due to the effect of Second World War. The obverse has the portrait of King George VI, while the reverse has an image of the Indian tiger. These coins were minted during two years - 1946 and 1947.
These coins were minted only in Bombay mint.
