Coins of Nawanagar

Nawanagar was a 13-gun salute state in the modern day region of Kutch, Gujarat. The rulers of Nawanagar were known as Jam Saheb - best known of whom was Ranjitsinhji, the cricketer. The rulers of Nawanagar were Jadeja Rajputs and were from the same clan as the rulers of Kutch. Like Kutch, the currency of Nawanagar was the Kori, a silver coin subdivided into Dhinglo, Dokdo and Trambiyo.
