1 Anna, Jaipur, 1943/44
Brass 1 anna coins of the Princely State of Jaipur, minted during 1943/44. The obverse of the coin carries a twig with leaves (झाड़), the emblem of Jaipur state, along with the name of the ruler (Sawai Man Singh) and the date. The reverse of the coin carries the denomination, and the value in Hindi, along with Urdu legend.
There are two coins, with thin (1943) and thick (1943-44) planchet. See last picture for comparison.
