Hand struck copper 1 paisa coin of the Princely State of Baroda, minted in the name of Anand Rao Gaekwad (1800-1819 AD). The 'Aa' in devnagari script - the first letter of Anand Rao's name, can be seen on the obverse. These coins were minted in the name of the Mughal emperor, the titular overlord of the Maratha chiefs.
