1 Rupee, 1975-82

1 Rupee Copper-Nickel coin of India, minted from 1975-82. This was the second series of 1 rupee coins minted after decimalization of the Indian currency (1957). The obverse features Ashoka's Pillar, while the reverse has the digit 1 surrounded by ears of grain. It is similar in design to the earlier coin (1962) but smaller in size.
