2 Gani billion metal coin of Alauddin Khalji (1296-1316 AD), equal to 1/24 of a silver tanka, the primary currency of the time. Alauddin was a ruler of the Khalji dynasty (1290-1320 AD), which had deposed the earlier slave dynasty. The circle in the center has the name 'Shah Muhammad' in Arabic, while the name 'Shri Alavdini' is inscribed in Devanagari script outside the center-circle. These coins are over 700 years old!
