1 Dokdo coin of Junagadh minted from 1823-1831 - the 'Diwan Dokdo' - with the words 'Shri Diwan' in hindi on the obverse of the coin. Junagadh was one of the princely states in the Kathiawar region of the modern day Gujarat. After independence, the nawab of Junagadh had wanted to merge into Pakistan, and the issue had to be resolved militarily. The Dokdo was 1/24 fraction of the silver coin used in Junagadh, the Kori. Kori was the generic name for money in the region as the currencies of other states - Nawanagar, Kutch and Porbandar were also called Kori.
