Copper 1 pice (1/64 of rupee) of the East India Company, Bombay Presidency, minted in Bombay from 1802-1829. The obverse has the United East India Company (VEIC) bale mark, along with the year while the reverse has a weighing scale/balance with the word 'Adil' meaning justice written on the reverse. From 1800 to 1830, the Bombay Mint produced hammered coins - while the Calcutta and Madras mints had been mechanized by this time. These coins are hammered.
