Silver Rupee, Orchha Princely State

Silver rupee coins of the Orchha Princely State - situated in the Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh. Orchha was a Rajput Kingdom founded in 1531 and lasted till 1950, when it merged into the Indian Union. The emblem of the Orchha state can be seen in the fourth picture, along with the reginal year. These coins carry the year as per the Islamic calendar and were issued from AH 1181 (1768 AD) to AH 1245 (1830 AD).
