Silver half franc (1/2) coin of Switzerland. These coins were minted from 1875-1967 and maintained the ratio of 0.835 (83.5%) silver till the latter date - making them among the last silver coins to be used anywhere in the world. The obverse features Helvetia, the female personification of Switzerland, encircled by 22 stars, representing the 22 cantons of Switzerland.
