1/4 Anna coin issued in the name of Feessul bin Turki, Imam of 'Muscat and Oman'. This 1/4 anna was same in value as the Indian 1/4 anna and was 1/64 of the Indian Rupee. During the British era, the Indian rupee and currencies derived from it were used across a number of countries in the Indian Ocean. The data on the coin is 1315 AH (Islamic calendar) - corresponding to 1898 AD. While strictly not an Indian coin, this coin was based on the Indian currency of the British period.
