1 Cash copper coin of the Pudukottai princely state - a small princely state that extended over almost all of the modern day district of Pudukottai in Tamil Nadu. The copper coin features an image of Martanda Bhairav, a form of Lord Shiv.
These coins are very small in size - just 11.5 mm across and 1.25 grams in weight. These are machine struck coins, first minted in Birmingham and then at the Calcutta mint, from 1889-1906. Read more here.
