1 Riyal banknote of Saudi Arabia, printed in 1968. The obverse carries an image of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jeddah, while the reverse has the Saudi emblem - two crossed swords and a palm tree. These notes were issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), created in 1952. These were the second series of banknotes to be issued by Saudi Arabia.
