10 Ruble, USSR, 1961

10 Ruble banknote of Soviet Union (USSR - 1922-1991), printed in 1961. USSR split into 15 countries in 1991 - the largest of which is Russia. The Soviet ruble was discontinued shortly after the dissolution of the USSR, as it lost most of its value in hyperinflation around the time. The obverse carries a picture of Vladimir Lenin, the leader of the 1918 revolution and the first President of the Soviet Union. The reverse carries the value of the note in all the languages of the constituent republics of the USSR.
