100 Ruble banknote of Russian Empire (1721-1917), issued in 1910. The obverse carries teh denomination - along with text mentioning that the note can be exchanged for gold at a fixed rate. The double headed Eagle - symbol of Russia - can be seen on the top-middle. The reverse carries a portrait of Catherine the Great (1762-1796), next to which is the figure of Mercury.
This is one of the largest notes to have been printed for general circulation. Compare the size to the modern 500 rupee Indian note.
