1969 1 Rupee Gandhi Centenary Note

1 Rupee commemorative note issued on 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, with the signature of IG Patel. This was the first time Gandhiji featured on an Indian banknote. Compared to the regular 1 rupee note, which featured the image of a regular 1 rupee coin on the right side, this note features an image of the 1 rupee Mahatma Gandhi commemorative coin. In other features, the note is similar to earlier notes. These notes were printed for just 1 year, making them scarce.
