20 Peso, Cuba, 1958

20 peso banknote of Cuba printed in 1958, before the Cuban revolution. The obverse features Antonio Maceo, a Cuban general during the war of independence. This banknote was guaranteed by the Central Bank of Cuba and could be converted to gold or foreign exchange. The reverse features the coat of arms of Cuba. This note was demonetized in 1961, after the communist revolution in Cuba - making it a banknote of a Dead Country.
