Five Rupee banknote of British India, issued in 1938, signed by CD Deshmukh - the first Indian to head the Reserve Bank of India. The obverse has a portrait of King George VI on the right, facing left, and the watermark window on the left side. The signature panel is in the middle, just below the number. The reverse has the denomination in English on the right, the language panel with 8 Indian languages in the middle, and the RBI seal on the right.
