Hyderabad 1 Rupee, Mir Usman Ali Khan, AH 1330/1912 AD
1 rupee silver coin issued by Hyderabad Princely State/Nizam. These coins have been minted in the name of Mir Usman Ali Khan (1912 AD). Note the Urdu alphabet 'ain' - corresponding to 'O', the first word of Osman, in the doorway of Charminar. The date as per the Islamic calendar can be seen under the Charminar.
In this variant, which was minted only in 1330 AH, the 'ain' in the doorway is truncated. This variety is rarer compared to the other variety, minted in subsequent years (Check picture 3 for comparison). This variant was minted in a single year and is rarer compared to later issues.
