Copper half paisa coin of the Sitamau Princely State, minted in 1899 AD (Vikram Samvat 1956), during the reign of Shadul Singh. The obverse of the coin carries a trishul (trident) in the middle, surrounded by the date in Vikram Samvat. The reverse has the name of the ruler. 

Sitamau was one of the smaller princely states in British India, with an area of just 350 square miles. The state lay in what is the present day district of Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh, with its capital in the modern day town of Sitamau. Sitamau was surrounded by the states of Indore, Gwalior, Dewas, Jaora and Jhalawar. The rulers of Sitamau were Rathore rajputsof the Jodhpur family, and were closely related to the rulers of nearby Sailana and Ratlam.
