Silver half rupee coins of the Princely State of Indore, minted in the name of Mughal emperor Shah Alam II from AH 1227-1296 (1812-1879 AD). The obverse of the coin has the well known sun-face featured on coins of Indore. These coins were minted at the Malharnagar mint. The date (in AH) is visible on these coins. 

Indore was one of the key states of the Maratha confederacy and became a British protectorate in the early 1800s. 

The half rupee is rarer compared to the rupee - shown together in picture 4 for comparison.
